Follow this one-time process to enable secure and seamless connection of your organization's Outlook accounts to SARAL:
1. Initiate Connection from SARAL
In SARAL, navigate to the ‘Connected Emails’ tab under settings.
Click on the ‘Connect new email’ button and choose Outlook as your provider.
Enter your name and email address and proceed.
2. Grant Administrator Consent (for the initial administrator connection)
If you are the organization's Outlook administrator and are connecting your own account, you will be prompted to grant permissions.
Check the box for "Consent on behalf of your organization" and then click "Accept." This action authorizes SARAL to access Outlook data for all users within your organization.
3. Request Administrator Approval (for non-administrator users)
If you are not the organization's Outlook administrator and are attempting to connect your account, you will likely see a screen indicating that administrator approval is required.
On this screen, you will have the option to "Request approval from your administrator." Click this option to send a notification to your organization's Outlook administrator.
Your administrator will then need to log in to their Outlook admin console (or respond to the approval request) to grant the necessary permissions for SARAL.
4. Complete the Connection
Once the necessary permissions have been granted (either through administrator consent or approval), your Outlook account will connect seamlessly with SARAL.
After the initial administrator account is connected and permissions are granted, all other emails within your organization can connect to SARAL without requiring individual administrator approval.
Important Notes to Keep in Mind:
Administrator Approval: The step to "Consent on behalf of your organization" (Step 2) typically only occurs when the organization's designated Outlook administrator attempts to configure their own email within SARAL for the first time. This grants broad access for the entire organization.
User Approval Requests: For non-administrator users, the process involves requesting approval from the administrator (Step 3) if the organization-wide consent hasn't been provided yet.
